Precision feeding & nutritional needs

Precision feeding is based on the exact nutritional needs of the animal, as determined by species, age, and production stage. In the Feed Pilot, we translate this into precision formulation and accurate dosing of amino acids, minerals, and additives, supported by our mid-component and homogenization silos and tilting mixers. By deliberately controlling process conditions (temperature and moisture), we monitor the stability of sensitive components and the availability of nutrients. The combination of inline data (energy, throughput) and feed analyses (nutrition, physical/chemical) provides a basis for formulation and process decisions, with a direct impact on feed intake, efficiency, and animal welfare. Where necessary, we link these insights to animal trials to validate their practical value. In this way, we support companies with questions such as: “What is the optimal microdosing and mixing sequence to prevent segregation?” or “Which conditioner setting maximizes both amino acid retention and pellet durability?” The result is data-driven advice that translates nutritional targets into operational process steps, while ensuring confidentiality and that the client retains ownership of the results.
